Trivia
A wonderful live album in cooperation with MTV Ireland: the Corrs are accompanied by the Irish Film Orchestra (arranged by Fiachra Trench) which adds a new twist to their songs. It features 5 new songs, among them already 2 new singles from "In Blue" ("Radio" and "At Your Side").
"At Your Side" was originally written for "In Blue" but was included in this album because there was want of new material. "Radio" on the other hand was intended for their second album "Talk On Corners" but sat around a long time.
The CD has been edited and rearranged for reasons unknown. For example, the song "Everybody Hurts", which was performed after "Toss The Feathers", was put at the end of the recording. The concert is also available on video/DVD, with the full show which also included "Dreams" and the songs in a different order.
The song "At Your Side" was used for the charity "Aktion Mensch" in Germany, thus the remix version. The Corrs performed this song live in a German TV show ("Wetten, dass...?" in February 2000) to promote the charity.
The record took place on October 5th, 1999 and should be repeated in January 2002. This session for the music channel Vh-1 again together with the orchestra was published as "Live In Dublin".
Cover versions include "Everybody Hurts", which is originally by R.E.M. and was first played for NetAid, "No Frontiers", a Jimmy McCarthy song performed by Mary Black and "Old Town", which Phil Lynott had recorded before.
The Corrs' third album has sold about 3.5 million copies worldwide and went -not surprisingly- 8 times platinum in Ireland. It also went multiple platinum in Indonesia, Spain & the Netherlands and single platinum in 15 other countries, including the UK, Australia, Germany and Singapore. In 4 other countries, it still reached gold.
