Video
Director: Kevin Bray
"The Right Time" video had a funky 60's psychedelic theme which was closely related to the TV show "The Avengers" (UK 1961-1966) with Patrick MacNee as Mr. Streed and Diana Rigg as Mrs. Peel.
"The Avengers" were shot in black and white, hence the settings for the video were also styled that way. Together with lots of mirrors and some crazy geometric forms displayed in the background, the band seems to come right from that era. The black and white-theme is also continued in the Corrs' clothes and instruments: Sharon uses an elegantly carved black violin, Caroline's drums are black and Jim plays on a black guitar.
The scenes in which the band members are seemingly larger than life were filmed using small models of furniture.
Only one day before shooting this video, the band was filmed for the "Forgiven Not Forgotten" video. Though it was filmed first, Atlantic US decided to skip this single and release "The Right Time" straight away, targetting the pop radio. Nevertheless, this meant a lot of stress for the Corrs as both shoots were very complex and lasted from 7am to 11pm.
Trivia
Both Sharon and Caroline have been quoted as saying that they don't like to perform this particular song. The reason for this is that "The Right Time" had been written even before "Forgiven Not Forgotten" and therefore was one of the songs the Corrs performed over and over again in their early days out of lack of other material. "Leave Me Alone" has the same fate.
