Video
Director: Randee St. Nicholas
The Corrs' first video was filmed in Dublin, Ireland, over the course of two days in August 1995. Locations inlcude Pearse Railway Station (first railway station built in the country in the 1830s), Phoenix Park (largest urban enclosed park in Europe, opened in 1747, situated 3km west of Dublin centre), and Glendalough (a monastery in Wicklow, south of Dublin - dating from the seventh century).
Sharon once said this video should give the fans an impression of what Ireland is like. Accordingly, it was raining the day the scenes where Andrea is running through the woods were shot.
Trivia
"Runaway" entered the British charts only at #49, and didn't chart very much higher anywhere else except for Ireland.
There was once a story circulating that Andrea was embarrassed to sing "Runaway" in front of her parents because of the line "make love to me through the night".
