On June 27th, Nelson Mandela's big birthday party took place in London's Hyde Park. Sharon had to pull out at the last minute due to personal reasons, so this left Andrea to take the stage together with Brian May from 'Queen' to perform "Is This The World We Created?". Watch the performance below:
Jim going into politics? | Jun. 24
In a recent interview with newspaper Sunday Tribune Jim Corr has declared interest in running for political office as an independent candidate in order to ensure Ireland does not become part of a European federal state. Following his previous comments about the Lisbon Treaty and the 9/11 attacks, he now claims that secret societies like the Freemasons have infiltrated most governments and that there is a worldwide conspiracy to microchip people so governments can control and manipulate citizens. American music channel VH1 will broadcast highlights from the Nelson Mandela birthday celebrations held in Hyde Park, London. The air date is Monday, June 30th at 9PM EST/PST. As well as the recap of the three day event, VH1 will also stream the 46664 concert live on www.vh1.com/events/concerts/mandela/ on Friday, June 27th starting at 1:30PM EST.

Jim talks about politics | Jun. 3
On May 29th, Jim appeared on Matt Cooper's radio show "The Last Word" to give his opinion about the Lisbon Treaty and the Irish referendum concerning its ratification on June 12th. He stated his believe that this Treaty is only one step further to one world goverment ruled by elitists. Jim also claimed that the key to understand this so-called 'New World Order' is the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001, stating that they were endorsed by the Bush "neo-con administration" and clearly staged in order to have a reason to cut the human rights of the individual. Andrea supports 40 years of Concern | May 20
The Late Late Show on May 16th, 2008 marked Irish aid agency's "Concern" 40th anniversary with a celebration of its achievements worldwide. Guests and contributors included Bono from U2 as well as Andrea Corr, who paid her own deeply personal tribute to Concern by performing "Pearls," a song written by Sade in the 1980's about the plight of Africa.
